The following is the information: Sipology Coffeehouse, in conjunction with Portola Handcrafted Coffee Roasters, will be offering weekly “Coffee Cupping” sessions that are open to the public. They will be held every Thursday night from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. Coffee cupping is analogous to wine tasting and is the best way to discover coffee flavor and what makes one coffee unique from another. During these cuppings, Jeff Duggan, the roastmaster from Portola Handcrafted Coffee Roasters, will guide participants on a culinary tour around the world in an informal, hands-on tasting and learning experience. Jeff will be discussing in detail a variety of subjects each week such as palate taste development, coffee growing, harvesting, and processing, as well as engaging in a finite analysis of coffee taste and aroma and everything that plays a role in producing world-class coffee.
