Well, paint me Hello Kitty and call me tickled pink!
By way of comments and a few emails from BFs (blogfriends) I found out that my silly little blog, The Delicious Life, this daily online therapy session of mine in a whole series of OCD/ADD/bipolaristical food rehab, was mentioned in the Los Angeles Times. The article is called “Blogging L.A.“
*clutches LA Times to chest and does a little candy skip*
Now I know it may not be a big deal to anyone else – as in, “What’s the big deal, Sarah? It’s not a whole article about you. It’s not even one sentence – they just list your site amongst about fiddy other LA-based blogs.”
True.
For the big maguro at the food blogging bar, a little mention in the Arts and Entertainment section of a local newspaper isn’t even worth mentioning to anyone else. But to a little amaebi like myself, it is a big big verybig ginormous humungerrific deal. I told everyone. This is a Stuart Smalley moment for me, okay? Just a little once-in-a-lifetime affirmation. LOL! I am grinning like a great big dork right now. :)
The LA Times must have heard Fresh Rachael’s bemoaning the lack of food blogging coverage by the LA media. Big thanks to writer Scott Martelle for the mention of The Delicious Life, as well as other LA food blogs BBQ Junkie – a Los Angeles BBQ Odyssey, Hot Dog Spot – weblog of a crack team of “dogophiles,” and Professor Salt – food and life in Orange County.
