Officially Introducing…the RiFWoL

reviews in five words or less - rifwol
A few weeks ago, I lamented because I had fallen so far behind in posting up descriptions about my delicious adventures. Even if I had posted complete thoughts everyday, twice a day, I’d still be long into the following month, maybe more. So to help myself along, I posted a few five-word previews of a few restaurants. As of last week, at least I had posted complete reviews for those. Gee, that got me through the second week of July with Fioretto Trattoria *sigh*

But with all the other exciting food things happening like virtual events, world news, cooking at home, getting ready for the w thing (starts with “w,” rhymes with dead-ing), my brain is having a hard time keeping up with my mouth, which seems to be accelerating at a much greater pace. Incidentally, this seems to be the case in so many other things outside just the delicious part of my life :) So in order to keep myself on track, these are a few more of what I am now officially dubbing Reviews in Five Words or Less, but friends call it RiFWoL. Say “riff-wall.”

It’s actually a challenge for me to keep things so…pithy.

Cafe Brasil, Culver City – Taste of Ipanema, sans sand

En Sushi, West LA – Only good Thursday late night

Ambala Dhaba, Westwood – Homestyle Indian not my style

Dong Il Jang, Koreatown – Salty fish. Bibim Naeng-myun. Perfection.

Dagwood’s, Santa Monica – Westside pizza war starts now

Why not try and do them as haikus? A restaurant review in 17 syllables!
