above: one of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever had that wasn't in my own kitchen...
Potato Chips
Muffin (Zucchini Streusel, I think?) and a Buttercup
It took everything I had to resist snatching that WTF Buttercup for myself out of the box and shoving the whole, flaky, buttery, sugar-crunchy thing into my face.
And I don't even eat sweets and desserts.

Kale salad! I actually have a kale salad/tofu recipe you are gonna go nuuuuuuts for that Ima post soonish. And by soonish, I of course mean like two months from now when I actually decide to write something about food and not about boys or Astrology Zone or Magic Mike. BTW... AZ totally failed me! The 3rd was not romantic at all! Unless you count staying home and watching the Bachelorette as romantic. Wait, does that mean I'm going to marry one of the guy bachelors??? Let it be Sean! Though I'm not sure I'm in love with the blonde hair...

D ~ you also need to check the horoscope for your rising sign, which plays just as important a role in this totally made up thing in the first place ha. ok, so for fun, you need to know exact time of birth and location, then fill it in here: http://www.astrostyle.com/Charts/freechart.htm and it will basically tell you your entire destiny. :)
and as far as kale salad with tofu - can you just make it again and bring it over and we will eat it and talk about boys? cool. see you soon.

Well, I was just saying how delicious and healthy all of those salads look...and my eyes popped out at that gorgeous blueberry bar!! I've never had cold brewed coffee before...never even seen a bottle of it like that so I am now intrigued...discovered Vietnamese iced coffee and I dream about the lusciousness of that...

thyme sarah: i've had iced coffee before, but never COLD BREWED, either! supposedly, it makes the coffee less acidic...though it's still intense. i did some research and am now sort of fascinated...you cold brew it by steeping coffee grounds in room temperature overnight (or longer) and then strain the coffee before you drink it. it's better to make iced coffee this way, obvs, since the not-hot coffee won't melt ice...looks like i am going to have to try some and post about it :)

diane: is there no kale in france?!?!
Diane, A Broad says
There's no kale in France to the extent that someone made a blog about her mission to get kale into France: http://thekaleproject.com/

Agh, I"ve heard such good things about Stumptown coffee. I really want to get some espresso beans from there for my mom
TheDelicious says
rooth: the first time i had stumptown (or at least, the first time i had it and was aware that it was stumptown), i hated it! i was staying at the ace hotel in nyc, where there is a stumptown cafe in the hotel...the coffee was too bitter, too strong, not my taste at all! i wasnt sure i wanted to even try the cold brew, but i did and it's different. we have a bag of the grounds at home now to try...not that you necessarily want my opinion, but after a few days of trying it at home, will let you know what i think :)

I need more details about that bacon + pork belly sandwich. Like, exactly how delicious was it?
